On Sunday - First Home Buyers Expo

On Sunday (yesterday) we went to Melbourne Exhibition Centre for First Home Buyers Expo Seminars. Of course it does cost money $$$$ hehehehehe

Entry Fees: AUS$15 person (included FREE showbags)

It was very first time Melbourne got this First Home Buyers Expo event, so for sure we dont want to missed it. It was very informative and we gain a lot of knowledges from professional which is amazing. It can be consider lucky and such as good opportunity because normally, this kind of seminar can cost more than $15.00 besides, you not just meet one property consultant, banker or developers and etc but over 70.

At the same time you can speak in person to the professional and asked as many questions and get direct feedback. Best part is you can make your own comparison which one can give the best offer or solution to buyer or investor property. How cool is that!!!

It was quite crowded with people and limited seats. So we were kind of rush from Zone stage to another zone stage for the seminars. Otherwise you need to stand there while listen the seminar.

The seminar started at 11am till 4.55pm

"Zone" is means the stage for the seminars. It got 3 zone stages and each zone will present differences topics, it means if you only interested in particular topic then you just need to check the time and which stage zone they gonna present.


We were sat in front that why I couldn't took the whole proper pictures, besides it was quite crowded, I wasn't have much time to took pictures inside. Besides, I think none of you would interested to see the pictures.

Like any usual seminar will give the power point presentation, they also showed us some short videos which even more interesting and end up with Q&A session.

We both really enjoy the seminar because we really learned a lot of stuff about property. I strongly recommend anyone to visit the event next year for Melbournian especially for those First home buyer, even also good for investors. Nothing to lose mates!!!

Finally, is weekend!!! and is Raymond turn to bought thing & stuffs for his family which need to be bring along back to Malaysia. hehhehehe anyway, I still bought a few today and will be continued tomorrow.

Today we just went to Richmond IKEA just walked around then went to Vietnamese groceries bought some fresh meat and veggies.

Then, I cooked dinner and have some "quality time together" (not the candles light dinner okayyy.....)

He ate a few bowl of rices, heehehh which is good because I don't want to be blamed why he super skinny when back to Malaysia. I have been trying to feed him like a pig liew.

After finish dinner, we went to out again. We just gone to IGA supermarket bought some foods. I think just an excuse. We kind of bored stay at home and decided to went out have a walk. Once we back I started to prepared the dessert/supper LOL.



At first I cooked the Dried Chrysanthemum Flower with boiled water and added Natural Rock sugar. Once done get ripped of the flower and mix the jelly with Chrysanthemum and same as Ribena. Then put them in fridge.


Finally, my masterpiece (*~cough..cough~*) hehehh

Boring days, Boring post

Sorry for took so long to update my blog recently. Today I work on evening shift, so I got some free time to blogging. Well, everyday work on same routine and Raymond & I were busy with work and haven't got time to go any where. Mostly, once we finish work we both felt just wanted to stay at home and slept.

This week we even lazy to spend some time to buy a grocery. LOL. Sometime we just went to KFC takeaway. Anyway, lucky today is our both last day at work. Finally we got weekend off together.

Havent got any plan at the moment. Properly just spend some quality time at home and do my house duties DAMMIT!. Feel kind of sloth to go to city and shopping around. sighhhhhhh,...why i sound like so exhausted??? even tomorrow is weekends. I should be excited!

This week I just felt so slow and such as looooong day. Properly I need a vacation LOL (which I will be soon) hiyaaaaaaaaa another 1 month!! Cant wait for it!

After Doris & her parents back to Sydney, I also back to work roster as usual and I getting even more busier. This week they requested me to work 6 days. That `s why I dont have time blogging. Only today have a day off .DAMMIT!,...anyway at least I can earn more $$$, and more ($_$) to spend in another few weeks.

Why lehhh??? because I`m going back to Malaysia for holidays!! and for 3 weeks!. Yahoo.....! I cant wait to meet my parents and eat a lot hometown signature dishes, like Kampua, gong pai, pia pia wu, and etc. ahahah mostly is Foong Chow meals and of course my mum home cooked meals and soups! :P By the way, my hometown is SARIKEI.

Just think about it I started to mouth watering......


On yesterday, Ray went to travel agent to pickup our flight tickets at BOXHILL.

Raymond and I will fly from Melbourne to KL to Sibu on 25th September 2007 at 12.15am. It was a midnight flight and it wasn't that bad because 25th is MOON FESTIVAL. Hopefully can see full moon on plane. Around 10.45am we will arrived at Sibu airport.

I have been waiting for this day to go home for ages. It have been 4 years liew....yayayy I know 4 years such as long years. It is because of my studies + applied PR + career + save $$$ = 4 years. I finally got time to organized my schedules to go back hometown.

Well, today I started to bought a lot stuffs and foods for my parents, friends & relatives.

Golden Glazed Awards 2007

As you all know, Raymond & I did attended the Awards event at Trust Bar (Flinder La, Melbourne City). It was full of surprises and we did had a really good time. I took 40 photos which only a few photos I will shared with you guys here.

My reaction was >>>>> Speechless.....

At the time, my whole team cheer up for us, and hoping can win it. Even Raymond `s friend Greg (he`s know I`m ray gf :P) also cheered for me like ShOUTING my name LAURA ! LAURA! LAURA! at the back, because they sat at the back together.

However, it was Kelvin Ku won it and I still HAPPY. I never thought that I would get nominated because I only work with this company only 5 months, compare to my other colleagues over years.


Ray & I were such as rush went to Trust bar at that time, and I don't have enough time wear makeup, just lip stick, a pair ear rings and get dressed up. I dont even have time put on some accessories.

okok,...I believe some of you wanted to know what was Raymond reaction when he saw my name on the screen.

He also cant believe it, and it is ME,..Laura Hii from Chadstone! and after the event he huge me and told me " WOW,..my baby got nominated, I`m so proud of you!"

After the event, I took some pictures with my colleagues, had some drink then straight back to car park and phoned Doris, that we finished and time to pick them up and go home.

Finally,...today Doris & her parents last day at Melbourne which is sad. Cant believe time flied fast. Tomorrow will be another new week. sighhhhhhh

It was early flight 7.15am from Melbourne to Sydney. So, around 3am they woke up and prepared and ate some breakfast. So, by the time is 4.20am we started our journey from home to airport just in case to avoid traffic. Since we still have time we just drive around the CBD area.

Suddenly, Doris saw a building which looks beautiful and asked us what is that building. We both have not idea, so let`s check it up. It was Bridal Exhibition Centre.

Sigh,..........felt kind of sad when on the way back home from airport. Ray & I wasn't talk much and pretty quiet all long the drive. Anyway,..finally they arrived safely when I received sms from them. Dont know when they will came to Melbourne again. Today, I have been cleaning the bedroom and just looks at those blanket & mattress & pillow cover, I even missed them more. Sigh,...I`m such as emotion person. (>_<)


Before, Doris fly back to Sydney, 3 of us did mentioned that next time need to ask Alison & Richard and all took 1 week off go Melbourne again and we planned go to the GREAT ROAD OCEAN , Vineyard, strawberry pick and etc for holidays. Cant wait a days like that!!! Well, need to work hard & earn a lot lot $$$ for next traveling.

On 11.08.07

Yesterday Saturday Ray & I need to started to work at 1pm. I will finish work at 7pm, as for Ray, he will finish work at 9pm. So, yesterday we bring to the following places:

1) Clayton
2) Monash University
3) Oakleigh
4) City againnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn

I was already with my work clothes on and we all went to Clayton together and show them around, then Ray & I ordered takeaway for our lunch and went back to home and ate our lunch and ready to go to work. As for Doris them, we will leave them at Clayton because they never there and Monash University also near around there. At least they can took some photos.

So, we guide Doris took the buses how to go to Monash Uni & back to Oakleigh train station. Since, on Friday night we did took the bus & walk back to home from Oakleigh station before. So, there not problem with them and I also leave my home key with them. Just in case they are tired and wanna go home have rest.

Around 5pm when I`m taking my break time, I did phoned Doris how`s going and just want to check whether they are okay out there. Guess what????????? Doris`s mum even already prepared and cooked dinner for me and they all waited for me for dinner.


okok ignored our clothes especially, my pant wahahhahahahh



Ohhhhhhh,..how sweet and touching. Waa..I havent been ages to taste home cooked meal from a mother. ehheheeheh

okok mum don't be jealous,......just another month I can taste your home cooked meals ahhhhh and feed me like a PIG (^_^).

Okay, as you guys know Raymond finished work at 9pm, later Ray, Doris & I went to city. You must be thinking what on earth we are doing??? going our in the late night.

Actually,...it is because Ray also got another friend which just flied from Sydney to Melbourne and Ray haven't met them for ages which used to work together at Sydney. We did ask Doris`s parents wanna joined us went down to city for supper. But, they were tired. So, only 3 of us youngster went down to city looo.


Parliment (i think so) it was on our way to Ray`s friend living place.


Just opposite the Flinder station. On our way back home while enjoy city night scenery. It was Saturday`s night, I believe what is that means for aussie people. Is party time, clubbing and drinking.

On 10.08.07

On Friday, as usual I asked my team leader/supervisor put me on night shift againnnnnnn (hoho I love my team leader) and this time Raymond also have to work night shift. So, at least whole morning & afternoon we `re free to accompany them.

This time we bring them to the following places;

1) St. Kilda Beach
2) Dandenong Market
3) Chadstone



So, in the morning we bring them to St Kilda beach which also once of Victoria attraction. Because of winter there no body at beach and it was sooooooo cold & windy. I think less then 15mins Raymond can not "tahan" hahah he told us he will waited in the car. What the,.....how about me ?? LOL

Okay,..enough with the beach which look crap compare to Bondi beach at Sydney. Then, We went straight back to Dandenong Market. Dandenong Market is pretty similar to Queen Victoria Market which a bit smaller. But, I prefer shop here because is cheaper.



Honestly, this is my 1st time been to Dandenong market, because everything when I`m off the market didn't open. So, we always end up shopped at Dandenong Shopping Centre which just opposite.

Then, we went to ALDI supermarket (just next to the market) to bought some snack and ate while shopping. hahaha We sure know how to enjoy....:P Doris even bought 1 pack of chocolates Ice cream (4 cones) I bought some corn cheese chip. We all, ate the ice cream at the some time ate corn chip from Dandenong Market to Dandenong shopping centre ahhahah we `re pig.

okay,...is afternoon time I need go back home and get change & ready to work. I think I did mentioned before in my begining posts that I work at Chadstone Shopping Centre. So, Doris & her parents followed me and they will spent whole day till night at Chadstone mall. Until I finish work.

As for Raymond, once he drop us at Chadstone he also go straight back to work. As you guys, know Chadstone is the biggest shopping centre in Australia for VICTORIA state. There once I heard is the biggest in whole Australia country. Anyway WHatEver....

Once I finished work we took the bus together. Raymond couldnt give us a lift because he need to work till 1am. poor thing..... Anyway, it was that bad, at least they can experienced how the bus system and schedule work here. Because it was late 10pm there not buses back to Oakleigh East and only 1 bus stop at Oakleigh train station.

So, we stop there and walk about another 20mins will reach my home. I was felt bad had to let Doris`s parents walk to our home. (-_-')

On 09.08.07

Okay,.......on Thursday, a shopping day for whole Australia country, where all the shopping centre closed at 9pm. However, I have to work that day but I did asked my manager put me on night shift. I was finished work at 10pm. Lucky Raymond still on day off for Thursday, so at least from morning till afternoon Ray & I can accompany them and at night Ray still can look after them.

This time is mainly focus at city or Melbourne CBD areas and we went to a few places as the following;

1) Queen Victoria Market
2) Southern Cross Station (past by)
3) Crown Casino
4) Yarra River
5) Flinder St & Lane / Flinder train station
6) St. Paul's Cathedral church
7) Federation Square
8) Chinatown

First thing in the early morning we went to Queen Victoria Market and I think we spent more that 1 hour there and also let them have a taste of the American Doughnuts Kitchen. (you guys just go to click the link aboves and got video.)

Once Doris`s mum done with shopping and took pictures. We went to Crown casino for car parking because it was the cheapest fees at city and on the way we did past through the Southern Cross station. I still impressed and amazed with the architecture design. Once we parked our car, we walked through the casino and took a few pictures.

Then, we cross Yarra River, which this time Doris & her parents can enjoy the daylight scenery, and we went to Flinder st or Flinder train station and took a few photos again and St. Paul's Cathedral church, Federation Square and finally is lunch time. Let`s take a break before go to chinatown.

So, we bring them to Claypot King is a Chinese restaurant which famous with they claypot dishes.


I ordered they signature dish Chicken mushroom & Claypot Rice.


As for Raymond, he ordered Sizzling Chicken & Mushroom Noodles. yummm the aroma sure smell GOOooooooD!

okay cut the crap, before we go for lunch we did phoned Alex whether can meet us at city for lunch and finally he made it even managed phoned Martin to join us. ahhahah. Alex & Martin also from Sydney and moved to Melbourne. They have been living here for about a years. Finally, we can met. Raymond & I hardly when to city because too far and our work rosters. That why, I haven't met Alex and Martin for ages.

Since I need to back to work for evening shift, Raymond need to sent me home to change dress and I ready to work. Because of that, we have to drop Doris them at city, otherwise they wouldnt explore more at city. We did went to Chinatown together and bring them to Information centre and get the city map and some tourist details.

At that time it was kind of funny because Doris also shocked with Melbourne`s Chinatown. ahahah I told u...totally difference compare to Sydney`s Chinatown. Sydney is the BEST!

Once they done with shopping and taking photos & had dinner at city, Doris will ring Raymond come to pick them up. As for me, I wasn't have mood for work. LOL my mind keep think of them.

Shot note: I wouldnt post all pictures bcoz I been all the places & I blog before. You guys just click on the link, it will go to my previous posts. I dont want to duplicate it.

On the next day, Wednesday Raymond & I were have a day off because I purposely requested my manager change my roster, so that I can accompany Doris them.

On that day we went to 4 places in one day; *~geh lehhh~* Oakleigh East (my home)

1)Box Hill
2)Fountain Gate /Narren Warren
3)Mordialloc Beach
4)City / Melbourne - Crown Casino



In the early morning Raymond & I show them around Box Hill suburb (map on the top near Melbourne) because at the time we also got some personal thing need to be done. Actually, Ray & I were already booked 2 flight tickets back to Malaysia and we need to be confirmed with our travel agent. Next, Wednesday we will collect our tickets. YAHOO!

Okay,..then we went to Fountain Gate Westfield Mall located at Narren Warren (map on the bottom), do some shopping and had our lunch there.


We recommend Doris & her parents go to this Asian Appetite food court because it cheap & better value for them. All you need is just choose the size dish plate 'Small $5.80, Medium $6.80, Large $7.80. Once you paid, All-You-Can-Take, even full like "Mountain" whahahha

I tell you guys, when I was Sydney, never saw any Asian food court got such as offer, you just pay the size plate and ALL-YOu-CAN-TAke. Doris also surprised and how good is that.

Okay,..leh see what they got........


WAAAAAAA.......yummmmmmy

Raymond & I didn't order that because we ate McDonald. ahhah Okay, once we finished ate lunch we started to walked around the shopping centre and they did bought a few things. I also bring them to Krispy Kreme Fountain Gate factory store and check it out how to make those delicious & expensive Doughnuts.

Of course, they had try the doughnuts because before they arrived at Melbourne Raymond already prepared 2 dozens (1 dozen original + 1 dozen assorted) at home waiting for them to taste. hehehehehe.

Then, we decided went to Mordialloc Beach, and on the way back home we did drive through the Dandenong, and which we will bring them on Friday.


Trust me, it was damn cold and very windy at the time.

Ray & Doris`s parents already waiting us in the car because can not tahan liew hahahah too cold & windy. While this 2 crazy girls still continued walking to the end bridge & camwhore. LOL



Walau...my hair, my jacket, my eyes (-_-') too windy finally make it to the end.

okay,.....I believe for those who read my blog post about Golden Glazed Awards. Raymond & I did attended although they are here. So, our plan is once we went back home, and let them have rest while Ray & I need to prepared and dress up.

Once we done, we all together went down to Melbourne city and drop them at Crown Casino and we went the Golden Glazed Awards Event at Trust Bar. At least, they can experienced Melbourne city night life and enjoy the night scenery. eheheh It was started at 6.30pm finished at 9.30pm. We didnt wanted to stay with our colleagues for drink because we told Doris, we will met the at 9.30pm car park Flinder La.

I wouldnt be blog about it at here, because I will post it later after I finish blogging about the trip we have been went with Doris them. heheh so, if you wanna know and curious what kind of dress I wear, just continues read my blog hahahah
